Sherwood Appearance Cancelled

Hello, friends! So sorry to have to share this news, but we will not be at Sherwood tomorrow. Sean has (for the first time, remarkably) come down with COVID, and playing the festival would be a bad decision both for personal and public health at this point. We hope to be back in the saddle for next weekend’s two “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day” events!

The Happy Out on Joe Walmsley’s Expat Radio Show

Joe and the Lads

If you just can’t get enough of The Happy Out, you’re in luck!

Our friend Joe Walmsley is a tremendously talented troubadour who performs down at Waxy O’Connor’s here in San Antonio five nights a week (and has occasionally joined us on stage at The Cottage). He also has a show on Expat Radio, and recently invited us to join him to talk about our band, our musical journeys, and to share some of our music.

You can listen in to our time with Joe right here:

The Happy Out Will Be at Sherwood

Hello friends! We are pleased to share the news that we’ll be playing the Sherwood Forest Faire Celtic Music Festival & Highland Games this year. Along with a full lineup of other Celtic musicians, we’ll be playing several sets throughout the day at this delightful wooded site east of Austin. More details to come as the day grows closer, but put September 9 on your calendar now and plan to enjoy great music and athletes in kilts from 10:00am until dusk!

Special Bonus Show at The Cottage

Due to an unexpected last-minute opening on their music calendar, we’ll be playing an extra bonus show this Sunday from 5:00pm-8:00pm at The Cottage. Come on out for good food, fun music, and great craic!

Time Change for Tomorrow’s Show

Hey folks! In order to accommodate all you football fans out there, we’ll be playing from 4:00pm-7:00pm tomorrow at The Cottage so that you can see both the Nations League match and San Antonio’s favorite Irish Pub band all in one afternoon. Football is life!

KSYM On-Air Segment

After hearing us play Mull of Kintyre at a recent show, our friend Richard Turner recently invited us to join him on his long-running radio show The Best of the Beatles. We had a great time visiting with him, getting to know a few of the students involved at the station, and reprising that performance for his radio audience. You can listen to that segment over on our Music page.
