An Original Poem

There once was a man from East Limerick
This summer he started to swimmerick
He ate a full bowl
Of strawberries whole
And in a few weeks he looked slimmerick!

June 30 Lineup: Blair & Klaus

Howdy, friends! Just to let you know, the June 30 show at the The Cottage Irish Pub will be the Blair & Klaus edition. (Sean will be at a family wedding.) Come on by to give those two a good word and see what shenanigans they get up to!

Celebrate Father’s Day with Us

Dia duit, friends! Some of you have asked if we will be playing on Father’s Day. Good news: we’ll be at The Cottage at our usual 5:00-8:00 time slot.

Even better news: in honor of the occasion, we’ll be doubling down on the dad jokes, bringing even more than usual! Come enjoy the craic with us!

New Release: Craic with St. Patrick

Howdy friends! We’d promised you that more music was on the way, and we’ve now made good on that with a double feature! This week, we released our recordings of “Inisheer”, a beautiful instrumental by Thomas Walsh, and “Strands of Glitter”, a lovely Blair Raker original. Both can be found on your favorite streaming services by searching for “The Happy Out”, or you can find them here: https://artists.landr.com/064837659169.

As usual, we’d love for you to give them a listen and let us know what you think!

New Song: Yer Mom is a Dope

Howdy friends! You know, sometimes we all have a terrible day. We deal with this in different ways — some work out, some go for an evening with friends, some post hot invective on social media. But some…write songs!

Blair is one of the latter, which is a great thing for us, because we now have a new song to show for it! Yer Mom is a Dope is now up on your favorite streaming services. Check it out and let us know what you think!

San Antonio Highland Games

The San Antonio Highland Games organizers have posted the schedule for the weekend; we’ll be playing sets on Saturday at noon, 3:00pm, and 5:00pm at various stages. Come on out for a great time! (And to see Sean wear a kilt for the first time in his life!)

No Show on Easter

Hey folks! Since the fifth Sunday in March is Easter, we’re going to take it off to celebrate and spend the time with our families. We’ll be back the following weekend for our usual Sunday at The Cottage and to perform at the San Antonio Highland Games. See you then!

Tá Críost éirithe! Go deimhin, tá sé éirithe!

Now Streaming: The Happy Out!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, folks! To celebrate this year, The Happy Out is venturing into something new: online music streaming! That’s right, you can find us now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and all your other favorite streaming music sites.

Our first release is an original that Blair wrote called Six Inches at a Time. Give it a listen and let us know what you think! (You can follow the link above, or search for “The Happy Out” or “Six Inches at a Time” on your favorite service.)

We have several other songs that we’ve recorded and will be releasing soon with plans for more down the road. Stay tuned for news about those, follow us on your streaming service, and if you’ve got a favorite tune you’d like to hear, let us know. Slainte!

Fans from Down Under

We’ve got friends in fun places. Today, the red kangaroos and emus at the San Antonio Zoo were sharing an excellent recommendation for St. Patrick’s Weekend! 😍Big thanks to Maggie and to the zoo for the artwork and delightful photos!

Fan Art

Many thanks to our young friend Luke, who we met last night at the Mammen Family Public Library. He very kindly shared his artwork, inspired by last night’s show, with us. Great work, young sir!
